Capabilities

Design collaboration, custom fabrication, and field installation. From one studio.

Paragon operates as a single discipline across design, metalwork, and installation. Our scope is built for site-integrated work: community entries, amenity features, park markers, and the architectural metals that carry a brand through a landscape.

01 / Design

Design & Collaboration

We join projects during design development alongside the landscape architect, developer, and civil team. We sketch, model, prototype finishes, and resolve the questions that are expensive to answer late. Footings, utilities, material transitions, and constructability.

02 / Fabrication

Custom Metal Fabrication

Plate, tube, sheet, and dimensional fabrication in-house. Structural and decorative. Dimensional letters, cut-metal panels, perforated screens, feature cladding, and sculptural elements, welded, finished, and sealed to site-ready tolerances.

03 / Signage

Illuminated & Non-Illuminated Signage

From halo-lit dimensional letters to face-lit cabinets, backlit panels, and non-illuminated stand-offs. We coordinate photometrics, power routing, driver locations, and service access, so the lighting reads as architectural, not retrofit.

Pavilions & Custom Structures

Architectural pavilions, shade structures, trellises, and custom steel canopies built as one-of-a-kind pieces, not off-the-shelf kits. Structural design-assist, bespoke louver systems, colored shade elements, and integrated seating or lighting developed alongside the landscape architect.

05 / Specialty

Specialty & Sculptural Metals

One-off sculptural and functional pieces: Corten sundials, cut-metal artwork, feature sculptures, and site-art installations. These are the pieces that give a park or plaza a singular identity, built as fine metalwork and engineered to sit in the landscape for decades.

06 / Site Features

Monument & Site-Integrated Features

Entry monuments, amenity center markers, pavilion identifiers, trail features, and park gateways. Built with structural steel, stone, masonry, concrete, and integrated landscape lighting. Engineered as a permanent piece of the site.

07 / Install

Installation & Field Coordination

Site survey, foundation design-assist, crane picks, electrical rough-in, and final install. We coordinate our schedule against the civil, masonry, and landscape crews, and stay on site through commissioning and punch.

08 / Wayfinding

Wayfinding & Identity Systems

When a community needs a consistent language of signs across directional, identification, regulatory, and amenity, we develop it as a system. Drawings, finish standards, and a family of components that grow with the project over time.

A material vocabulary, developed on the shop floor.

We work the full palette of architectural metals and complementary materials. Each project is built around a specific combination, chosen for its site, climate, sightlines, and how it will weather.

Finishes range from raw and weathered to architectural powder coat and hand-rubbed patinas. We prototype and document each finish so the tenth piece matches the first.

Process

A sequence designed for buildable outcomes.

Phase 01 · Discover

Site & intent

We walk the site, study the civil and landscape drawings, and understand the brand. What should a visitor feel at the moment of arrival? What does the architecture and landscape want to echo?
Phase 02 · Design

Concept to detail

Sketches, reference imagery, and 3D studies resolve into shop drawings. We develop structural strategy, material selections, finish samples, and lighting details in parallel, not in sequence.
Phase 03 · Engineer

Structural & electrical

Footings, anchorage, wind load, and electrical routing are engineered with our partner engineers. Stamps, wet seals, and UL-listed assemblies where required. Everything is buildable before we cut steel.
Phase 04 · Fabricate

Shop build & finish

The piece is built, welded, finished, and pre-assembled in the shop. Electrical is tested. Mock-ups are reviewed. Nothing ships until it's been seen fully assembled under real light.
Phase 05 · Install

Site delivery

Foundation verification, crane staging, crew coordination, and a clean install against an active jobsite schedule. Electrical commissioning, photography, and a punch walk with the client.
Phase 06 · Warranty

Return visits

We stand behind the work. Annual check-ins, warranty callbacks, finish touch-ups, and a direct line back to the shop for as long as the piece is in the ground.

Working on a community, park, or public-sector project that needs to last?

We'd rather meet early, during schematic design or design development, than be handed a specification at the end. Reach the studio directly.
